Our Edwin trousers are a tribute to vintage style. These authentic reproduction chino trousers share all the features of the true vintage late 40s pair of pants taken from our archive collection, making them the ideal choice for summertime Nostalgia events and day trips alike.
- Our Edwins sit high on the waist compared to a modern pair of fashion trousers.
- The button fly fastening mirrors the style of pants from the 1940s and 1950s decades.
- They benefit from both buttons for attaching trouser braces and belt loops.
- A pair of pleats to each side front, partially stitched close at the top so they lay flat across the stomach.
- Tab and buckle fixtures at the hips to adjust the size slightly.
- Period accurate straight vertical side seam pockets, unlike the angled ones most modern pants have.
- A curved seam across the back waist and a working back pocket with a button-down flap.
- Turn up hems with a 46 cm / 18" hem circumference.
SIZING NOTE: The Edwin trousers are high-waisted, so their cut may mean a tighter fit. For better accuracy when selecting your size, measure your waist circumference just below the navel. Should you fall between sizes, we recommend ordering the next one up. Measurements on our size chart are accurate to approximately a quarter inch.
Inside leg measurements are shown in the size table within the listing images, but please take into account the trouser rise which is longer than most modern trousers. This can add up to two additional inches to the inseam depending on how high you wear them on your waist.
The fabric content is durable cotton with a ridged texture that launders well (100% cotton).
